Before you try and find an acting agent and apply for representation, you’ll need to make sure you’re ready and have prepared.

GETTING AN AGENT

If you’re going to work as a film (theatrical), stage, or commercial actor, you’re going to need an agent. It’s a business and casting directors, directors, studios, and agents all want to work with professionals who understand the business. You need to understand the business just a little as well. You don’t need to be working already or know everything, but you have to show that you’re serious, highly motivated, and able to do the work.

Below is a checklist of requirements that you need to meet if you’re going to be considered by any agent for representation.

REQUIREMENTS FOR REPRESENTATON

For Actors

  • You’ll need to be able to show your commitment and ability to work. For most actors this means that you have some acting classes you’re taking, a reel, or even credits (even if it’s just your local community theater or school play).

For Parents

  • Reading is a requirement, so we’re unable to take submissions for kids younger than about 4 or 5. No babies.

  • You’ll need to be able to support your child. There will be travel, deadlines, and other disruptions. With young actors it’s often an entire family that’s working.

Nicole is the best agent for young actors in Hollywood. She has the connections, expertise, and experience to take young, talented actors and guide both their acting careers and personal development. She’s absolutely the best agent and working with her is a pleasure.
