Get ready to completely fall in love with Nickelodeon's new TV show Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, & Dawn (not to mention the show's super cool and ultra-fabulous teenage character Josie, played by Gabrielle Elyse). We caught up with Gabby — who has previously guest-starred on Disney Channel shows like Liv & Maddie and Austin & Ally — to chat all about the show. She not only gave us the scoop on what you need to know before watching, but she also revealed some pretty cool secrets from the set...
Gabrielle plays Josie, the Harper kids' babysitter...
"Josie... works at the Harper family store 'Get Sporty,'" Gabby reveals. "She’s the kids’ babysitter, their best friend, and their mentor."
Josie is part rock star, part babysitter...
"She’s definitely out-of-the-box. She’s very quirky and she dances to the beat of her own drum," Gabby says. "She plays guitar, she sings— all that great stuff— and she loves the kids and the Harper family with all of her heart."
It's not just for you... it's a show for the whole family.
"It’s all about love," Gabby reveals EXCLUSIVELY to M. "No matter how crazy or hectic life gets, no matter how crazy the situation seems or how impossible things need to get fixed, it’s all about coming together at the end of the day. It’s all about love."
The kids totally treat Gabby the way they treat their 'babysitter' Josie IRL.
"They always hire like really cute [extras]. And one of them works behind me, behind the café, in this boutique window. And there was one that I was actually looking at for a very long time and all four of the kids caught me looking at him," Gabby shares. "The minute I turned my back, they were like making signs like, ‘She loves you! She has the biggest crush on you!’ I literally wanted to hide."
The cast gets along REALLY well — they're like a real family.
"We definitely go together. We’re like peas in a pod," Gabby admits to M. "Right from day one, when I showed up working, everybody just clicked and our chemistry is really great."
Can you find the mystical, magical shoe?!
"In every episode, there’s this colored shoe that we hide," Gabby tells M. "It’s a really brightly colored tennis shoe and we hide it in different places. We want to see if anybody in the audience catches it. So we always put it in a different spot before we film."
